As someone who has experienced every Taylor Swift tour since Red – and watched countless tapings of her previous tours – I can confidently say, this is the Taylor Swift tour of everyone’s dreams. Swift has always been known to leave “Easter eggs” and meticulously plan out every single tiny part of every show, music video, or lyric that she touches and this tour is no different. From the epic stage design to the subtle nods to her past choreography, the queen of detail didn’t miss a single thing.
I was lucky enough to attend 4 shows on the Eras Tour – trust me, I myself can’t believe that is something real I am saying out loud – and let me tell you, it never lost its charm and brilliance. I attended shows in the nosebleeds, the lower bowl, and the floor, and I was never left wanting more. The scale of this show and Swift’s ability to hold a crowd’s attention makes you feel like the only person in the room, when in reality you’re in a sea of 70,000 other people.
Getting to relive the past 17 years of Taylor’s, more than impressive, catalogue of work in one beautiful 3 hour show was so worth the turmoil and struggle that so many “Swifties” experienced trying to buy these tickets – myself included.
There is too much to sit here and piece by piece dissect the 44 song setlist and the countless costume changes – The Eras Tour is quite simply put, the tour of our lifetime… until Taylor’s next tour. It was said about the Reputation Stadium Tour and it will be said about her next, because one thing Taylor Swift will always do well is somehow outdo herself when we all thought that couldn’t be done. I can’t say enough about the magnitude of this tour and how legendary it feels. Taylor Swift is the superstar of our generation
