On May 25, 2022, Bleachers returned to Dallas, TX after an upsetting COVID cancellation prevented them from playing their previously scheduled show in October 2021. The fans were eager to see Jack Antonoff and company perform and the band delivered the show of a lifetime. With stunning stage visuals, such as a TV shaped light display and a lamppost fixed in the middle of the layered stage, the audience was captivated in every literal sense. Playing through the hits like “Don’t Take The Money” and “I Wanna Get Better,” Bleachers filled South Side Ballroom with the sweet sounds of nostalgia. They also debuted newer music to the Dallas crowd, including hits like “Stop Making This Hurt” and my personal favorite, “Chinatown,” which I believe was the standout performance of the show. Bleachers took the sadness out of Wednesday night with this show, and I very much look forward to seeing them again.
