College student by day and international pop sensation by night, Maude Latour is quickly becoming one of the hottest names in the indie pop scene. I was lucky enough to catch Latour headline the Moroccan Lounge on February 23, 2022, at her first ever show in Los Angeles (a show that sold out in under 30 seconds). I can’t even remember the last time I had this much fun at a concert. There’s something so effortlessly captivating about the way Latour commands the stage. With vocals akin to early Lorde and the pop prowess of Carly Rae Jepsen, Maude Latour is walking backwards on her way to stardom.
I can say with confidence that every person in the tiny Moroccan Lounge felt the magic unfolding in front of their eyes. Latour only has 13 songs out in the world, and every word to every song was screamed back at her over the course of the night. I must admit, Latour was one of my top Spotify artists of 2021, so you bet I was a part of the mass screaming about dating bad guys and trying to keep my room clean.
