“sex is good (but have you tried)” going to a Donna Missal concert? I can say with confidence that Missal is one of the strongest vocalists in the game and she knows how to put on a SHOW! I was lucky enough to catch her open up for CHVRCHES at a sold-out Hollywood Palladium on December 17, 2021, and all I can say is that Missal is the most criminally underrated artist out there. Instantly capturing the audience’s attention, Missal’s beautiful voice transported us into her world of feminist stripper music/neo-pop/melody rap/screaming female, and I never wanted to leave.
I tell everyone that every time I see Donna Missal perform live, I leave covered in goosebumps and feeling deeply renewed. There’s something about the way she commands the audience and sings directly to each individual that makes everyone in her presence feel like a new person. It’s refreshing to see someone hop on a stage with just a guitarist, a drummer, raw talent, and just pour their heart and soul out to an audience that doesn’t even know who they are. Donna Missal? She does that with ease.
