I do, in fact, have emotional motion sickness. On October 22, 2021, I witnessed Phoebe Bridgers play her last night of the tour, to a very sold-out Greek Theatre. I have spent the better part of this pandemic sitting in my room and contemplating the meaning of life to Bridgers’ Punisher, so hearing the entirety of the album live was an experience. In addition to the overwhelming presence of Bridgers and her band of skeletons, add on Bo Burnham feet away in the audience, while Bridgers sings “That Funny Feeling,” and you have my night. There aren’t many words in the dictionary that can be used to describe the all-encompassing feeling of Bridgers and her band. This talented crew will have your soul vibrating and your eyes crying in literally 0.1 seconds upon walking on stage. If you ever get the chance to see her play live, fight for your life to buy those tickets.
