On April 17, 2026, K-Pop powerhouse girl group TWICE took over the Moody Center in Austin, TX for the first of two shows that closed out the North American leg of their 6th concert tour, This Is For. Austin, TX was buzzing to welcome the girls to their city – an up and coming destination for K-Pop tours. Between pop up stores and cupsleeve events, Austin ONCEs turned the city into Twiceland for the weekend.

Fans from all over the country and world traveled to be here, sporting elaborate outfits based on music videos and photoshoots. Around the arena, hype was buzzing as fans bought merch, participated in dance challenges, and exchanged freebies. Watching this audience come together to celebrate the end of a successful tour was heartwarming.

TWICE upped their game with this tour, traveling with a 360 stage that allowed ONCE to see the show from every angle, something unique for K-Pop tours in the US. Utilizing different platforms and screens, every seat in the arena was the best seat in the house and really made the show feel personal, watching the performance in the middle of the arena as opposed to a distant stage setup.

Opening the show with their newest hits and fan favorites, “This Is For” and “Strategy,” the energy in the arena was infectious. The lights from the Candy Bongs made the arena feel even fuller, as you could see individual fans having the time of their life waving their lightsticks around. As always, Texas cheers and barks were overwhelmingly loud, surprising the girls and contributing to their energy throughout the show. TWICE performed fan favorite title tracks from the span of their eleven year career such as “I Can’t Stop Me,” their English releases such as “Moonlight Sunrise” and “I Got You,” and even threw in a few deep cuts for their die hard fans such as “Make Me Go,” a B-side from the More & More album, and my personal favorite TWICE song.

In the middle of the show, TWICE took the time to spotlight each individual member with solo performances, most of which were from the group’s 10th anniversary album, Ten: The Story Goes On. Unfortunately, members Dahyun and Chaeyoung were unable to perform at this show due to health issues, but cheers from ONCE every time their faces were on screen really expressed the fanbase’s love for these members, and they were deeply missed.

TWICE closed their concert with their greatest hits, including “Fancy” and “What Is Love?” – an emotional window into how far these girls have come on their musical journey over the past eleven years. Before their encore, a dance cam took over the arena, spotlighting fans in the crowd to show off their moves and costumes. The girls returned to the stage and asked the audience what they wanted to hear for the encore – landing on “Signal” and “The Twice Song,” both of which allowed the girls to be their silly selves on stage, interacting with fans and their dancers and making the giant arena feel like hanging out in your living room with friends.

After the show, I had the opportunity to speak with a few fans about their experience at the This Is For World Tour. Abigail has been a ONCE since the beginning of their careers and has seen TWICE before on the Ready To Be Tour, and loved how TWICE elevated this tour, “I loved the way the stage and production were set up, especially the use of vertical layers through risers and descending or ascending screens. I haven’t seen a setup like that before, and I felt like it really added to the ambience and storytelling.” Emmanuel has seen TWICE around ten times before, and loved how the members reacted to the energy of the crowd in Austin, “The louder the cheers and chants got, the more energetic and expressive they appeared! Even with it being a long schedule for them.” Emmanuel is a Dahyun bias, and was sad to not be able to see her and Chaeyoung perform, but was sure to express that “ONCEs care about your health and happiness above all. It may be disappointing to not be able to see you this time, but we are all very excited for the next opportunity to meet one another.” Abigail also expressed love for the missing members, “Their absence was felt, but we’re all cheering them on and wishing them smooth recoveries.”

TWICE made their mark in Austin, performing two nights at Moody Center and contributing to the growing K-Pop community in the city. We eagerly await their return and wish all the members a great rest of tour and time to rest.
